STPA Legislative Needs and Concerns

1. Legislatively, we are working to make all members aware of why it is important to be involved on a legislative level. So out campaign is to find out who your state legislators are, introduce yourself and vote.
2. Also encouraging others to vote. Also, educating members about the importance of being influential in the election process and being a relied source of information to our legislators.
3. We are always trying to pass an increase in our cigarette tax to support medicaid - primarily to go toward smoking cessation assistance for the medicaid recipients.
