STPA Legislative Needs and Concerns

1. Comprehensive mental health parity, state health benefits plan was completely revamped.

2. We continue to chair the I wish I could report legislative successes, but we have not had any in the past year. We are expanding our list of initiatives to include an immunity bill for court appointed psychologists, work on parity and universal health care, mental health courts, and NJPA just approved prescriptive authority - which will surely be a longer term project. (I thought parity would be done by now….that's seeming to be a long term project, as well!
